Import Data for Time Off

The Data Import option enables administrators to import various types of data en masse.

The header row in the file is required for imports.

Navigation: Menu > Administration > Employee Admin > Time Off

  1. From the navigation pane, select Settings and then select Data Import.

  2. Select the icon in the Download column to get the required file format to upload data. The file can be used as the basis for an import file to assign persona values for Time Off. The file includes employee number, first and last names, job, start and end dates, policy group, and role assignment. It appears at the bottom of the page as a CSV file that you can open.

    Note:

    Values for numeric custom fields can also be imported. The CSV file must include the COID column or Employee Number column so the import does not fail. If other columns are not included, the import is still successful.

    The import for approved time off requests includes employee number, company code, start and end dates and times, duration, and policy name. The imported requests appear in an Approved status on the employee persona page (My Team > select employee > Time Off tab). The initial history action type is Import.

  3. Select the icon in the Upload column to upload the file.
