When roles are created or edited in Time Off (Settings >
Roles), different permissions can be assigned to those roles.
The following permissions can be assigned to roles:

ADMIN_ACCRUAL_CODE – Administrator creates accrual codes (Settings
> Accrual Code).

ADMIN_ACCRUAL_RULE – Administrator creates or edits an accrual rule
when creating or editing a time off policy (Settings > Time Off Policy).

ADMIN_COMPANY – Administrator edits company preferences (Settings
> Company Preferences).

ADMIN_COVERAGE – Administrator defines company-wide blackouts and
coverage on the Coverage page.

ADMIN_CUSTOM_FIELD – Administrator creates or edits a custom field
(Settings > Custom Fields).

ADMIN_DATA_EXPORT – Administrator selects the Data Export option
from the Settings page, which provides quick access to download a spreadsheet containing
configuration details.

ADMIN_DATA_IMPORT – Administrator imports data (Settings > Data
Import).

ADMIN_HOLIDAY_CALENDAR – Administrator creates or edits a holiday
calendar (Settings > Holiday Calendar).

ADMIN_JOB_SCHEDULER – Administrator creates and runs jobs (Settings
> Job Scheduler).

ADMIN_POLICY – Administrator creates a time off policy (Settings >
Time Off Policy > Time Off Policy tab).
- ADMIN_POLICY_GROUP - Administrator creates or edits a policy group (Settings > Time Off
Policy > Policy Groups tab).

ADMIN_ROLE – Administrator creates or edits a role (Settings >
Roles).

EMPLOYEE_BALANCE – Employees view their time off balances on their
dashboard.

EMPLOYEE_TEAM_CALENDAR – Employees view the Employee Team Calendar
page and see who has scheduled time off.
- EMPLOYEE_TOA_HISTORY – Employees view their request or transaction history. To assign this view only permission, be sure to also uncheck the EMPLOYEE_TOA_REQUEST permission that allows employees to both view history and request time off.

EMPLOYEE_TOA_REQUEST – Employee views history and creates and submits a time off request.

GLOBAL_EXPORT – Assigned individuals export employee transactions
(for example, time off used by employees or balances based on a date range) as a CSV file
(Global Payroll Export from the navigation menu).

MANAGER_APPROVE_REQUEST – Manager approves, denies, or cancels a time
off request.

MANAGER_COVERAGE – Manager views the Coverage page and adds coverage
or blackout dates.

MANAGER_EMPLOYEE – Managers view employees who report to them via My
Team. This permission grants view only access. The MANAGER_TEAM permission is also required
with this permission. The MANAGER_EMPLOYEE_ASSIGNMENT permission is needed to modify
employee assignments.

MANAGER_EMPLOYEE_ASSIGNMENT – Manager accesses and modifies employee
assignments (My Team > select employee > Assignments tab). If this permission is not
assigned, the Assignments tab does not appear. This permission does not affect the ability
to complete other important tasks (for example, view employee balances and history or create
a request on behalf of an employee).

MANAGER_IMPORTED_TRANSACTION – Manager edits imported
transactions.

MANAGER_MANUAL_TRANSACTION – Manager edits manually created
transactions.

MANAGER_ROLE – Does not apply.

MANAGER_TEAM – Managers view employees who report to them via My
Team. The MANAGER_EMPLOYEE permission is also required with this permission.

MANAGER_TOA_REQUEST – Manager submits a time off request on behalf of
an employee.
- POLICY_GROUP_TRANSFER – Administrators, and designated managers, transfer an employee from one policy group to another. Administrators are automatically assigned this permission.

REQUEST_DELEGATE – Manager’s name appears in the list of eligible
employees who can be selected as a delegate when administrators create a new delegate
rule.
