Reset UKG Pro Passwords

System Administrators can reset an UKG Pro user's password from the User Administration page.

Navigation:Menu > System Configuration > Security > User Administration

  1. From the User Administration page, search for the user whose password you would like to reset.
  2. In the Actions column, check the check box for the specified user.
  3. Select Reset Password. The password is reset to the default value. To view a user's default password, select View Password from the Default Password column.

Reset a UKG Pro Backoffice Password

Reset an UKG Pro backoffice or US Explorer password from the US Explorer tool.

  1. From your UKG Pro SaaS environment, select the US Explorer icon.

    The US Explorer tool appears.

  2. Enter company code, username, and password, and then select OK.
  3. Select Accounts, and then select User.
  4. From the drop-down list, select the user whose password you would like to reset.
  5. In the Application Password section, enter a new password. A new field appears to the right of the password field.
    Note

    The password must contain 3-16 characters and cannot include special characters. Additionally, you cannot use any of the 10 most recent passwords used for this user.

  6. Confirm the password by entering the identical password in the new field.
    Important

    Do not change the SQL Server password.

  7. Select the Save Current User icon.
  8. Close US Explorer.

Reset a Site Management Console Password

To change a Site Management Console (SMC) password, open a support case in the UKG Community.

Reset a Citrix User Password

Reset a UKG Pro SaaS environment (Citrix) password from the User Maintenance tool.

  1. From your UKG Pro SaaS environment, double-click the User Maintenance icon.

    The User Maintenance tool appears.

  2. Select the user whose password you would like to reset.
  3. In the User Info section, enter a new password.
    Note

    The password must contain 11-14 characters and include at least one capital letter, one number, and one special character.

  4. Select Update.
  5. Select Close.
