Compare Candidates

Compare Successors or Nominees

Potential nominees or successors can be compared side-by-side in the Compare Candidates page.

Navigation:Menu > My Team or Administration > Talent Management > Succession Management

  1. From the Succession Plans page, select the Plan Title column for the candidates you want to compare.

  2. At View, select Successors, Nominees or All Candidates.

  3. Select up to four candidates then select Compare. The Compare Candidates page appears with the candidates selected.
  4. Expand or collapse each section to view details for each area of information.

Add a Candidate to the Comparison

Up to four potential nominees or successors can be compared side-by-side in the Compare Candidates page.

Navigation:Menu > My Team or Administration > Talent Management > Succession Management > select Plan title > select comparison candidates > Compare

  1. From the Compare Candidates page, select the Add icon.

    The Select Candidate page appears.
  2. Select a candidate to add to the comparison.

Mark a Successor as a Leading Candidate

Select a potential successor as a leading candidate to fill the position.

Navigation:Menu > My Team or Administration > Talent Management > Succession Management > select Plan title > select comparison candidates > Compare

  1. From the Compare Candidates page, select Make a Leading Candidate from the drop-down list located at a candidate's name. A message appears confirming the change.
  2. Verify the candidate is marked as a leading candidate.

Remove a Successor from Being Marked as a Leading Candidate

Remove a leading candidate from consideration to fill a position.

Navigation:Menu > My Team or Administration > Talent Management > Succession Management > select Plan title > select comparison candidates > Compare

  1. From the Compare Candidates page, select Remove as Leading Candidate from the drop-down list located at a candidate's name. A message appears confirming the change.
  2. Verify the candidate is no longer marked as a leading candidate.

Make a Nominee a Successor

Select a successor after comparing nominees to fill a position.

Navigation:Menu > My Team or Administration > Talent Management > Succession Management > select Plan title > select comparison candidates > Compare

  1. From the Compare Candidates page, select Make Successor from the drop-down list located at a candidate's name. A message appears confirming the change.
  2. Verify the candidate is marked as a successor.

Compare and Add a Successor to a Plan

Compare and evaluate successors with the goal of adding a successor to the plan.

Navigation:Menu > My Team or Administration > Talent Management > Succession Management

  1. From the Succession Plans page, select the applicable Plan Title link. The selected succession plan appears.
  2. From the Successors view, select Add. The Add Successors page appears.
  3. Select at least two employees from the list or use the Find By filter to search for any applicable employees.
  4. Select Compare. The Compare and Add Successors page appears.
  5. If the candidate in the comparison is not in the succession plan, you can select Add to Plan from the drop-down list located at a candidate's name. Verify the candidate is marked as a successor.
    Note

    If you do not have access to make changes to a candidate, or if there are no actions to take on a candidate, a drop-down list may not display under the candidate's name.
