Update Your Canada Personal Tax Credits and Source Deductions Returns

Canada Tax Credits and Deductions

The federal and provincial Personal Tax Credits Return forms certify the tax credits you claim for your tax withholding elections.

The Canada Federal government uses Form TD1, Personal Tax Credits Return, and each of the following provinces and territories have their own version of Form TD1: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, and Yukon.

The province of Quebec uses Form TP-1015.3-V, Source Deductions Return (English) or Formulaire TP-1015.3, Déclaration pour la retenue d'impôt (French).

Important If you have a change in circumstance that requires an updated Personal Tax Credits Return or Source Deductions Return and you do not submit an updated form, you may be subject to penalties from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or Revenu Quebec (RQ).
