Authentication Options

Select Two-Factor Authentication Method

While logging in, you may be prompted to complete a two-factor authentication process. This type of authentication allows for greater security when accessing the solution.

After entering your username and password, you may need to complete two-factor authentication to complete log in. The two-factor authentication options are dependent on your company's configuration and the assigned Authentication Policy's settings.

To use Virtual Code Authentication, enter the phone number and/or email address where a code can be sent. The retrieved code is then entered into the solution.

Alternatively, you may use an Authenticator App. This is a strong type of two-factor authentication that uses an outside software application to generate the passcode.

Important The two-factor authentication process is not applicable for companies configured for Single-Sign On (SSO).

Two-Factor Authentication Options

If you have not previously registered for a two-factor authentication option you may be prompted to make a selection during your first login. When you log into the application with your current password, you will be presented with the Select Two-Factor Authentication Preferred Option page.

Navigation:Login Page

  1. From the Login page, at the Username field, enter your username.
  2. At the Password field, enter your password.
  3. Select Login.
The Select Two-Factor Authentication Preferred Option pop-up window appears.
  4. Select the appropriate authentication option.
Depending on the company's settings, the options may include Virtual Code Authentication or Authenticator App.
  5. Important The login experience changes depending on the selected two-factor authentication method. Proceed to either the Virtual Authentication Code or Authenticator App section that matches your authentication selection.
    Select Next.

Virtual Codes Contact Details

One two-factor authentication option is to have a virtual code sent from the solution to the user's email or phone. When using Virtual Code Authentication, your contact information must be up-to-date and accurate.

Once Virtual Code Authentication is selected from the Select Two-Factor Authentication Preferred Option page, you are asked to verify your contact information. Review the text message, voice message, and email address information and make updates, as necessary.

Authenticator App

When enabled, the Authenticator App relies on a third-party authenticator app to generate a verification code. This process replaces using Two-Factor Virtual Code Authentication via text, voice, or email.

The first time the Authenticator App is selected at log in, the Register Device page appears. This page contains a QR code that can be scanned with a mobile device. Once scanned, the authenticator app is linked to the application and a verification code is provided.

To complete the initial login or any subsequent logins, you will only need to provide the verification code from the authenticator app. The QR code setup is a one-time process.

By selecting the Enable Remember Me Option checkbox, you will not be required to enter a new verification code until the specified amount of time has elapsed.

Log Out

For security, it is a best practice to log out when done using the solution.
