Activity Teams
Activity Teams Overview
While punched in, Activity Team members automatically get credit for activities performed by their team.
When an employee is a member of an Activity Team, they simply clock in and out; team activities worked in that timespan are inherited and reflected on their time cards. Team leads (as designated via Function Access Profiles) manage activities on behalf of the team.
Inheritance of teams' worked activities improves efficiency, as employees no longer track time individually against common activities. It also reduces opportunities for human error, as team activities are managed and tracked centrally.
Join an Activity Team as an Employee
Employees self-join teams via Join Team forms. An employee can only be a member of one team at a time.
- Select View All Forms.
- Select a configured Join Team form.
- Select the desired team from the Enter Team Name drop-down.
- Complete any other configured fields.
- Select Submit.
Leave an Activity Team as an Employee
Employees leave teams via Leave Team forms. Because employees can only be a member of one team at a time, the current team is pre-populated and not editable in Leave Team forms.
- Select View All Forms.
- Select a configured Leave Team form.
- Complete any other configured fields.
- Select Submit.
Submit a Join Team Form for an Employee as a Manager or Lead
Managers and employees with appropriate permissions submit Join Team forms on behalf of other employees to add them to an Activity Team.
- Select View All Forms.
- Select a configured Manager or Supervisor Join Team form.
- Select the desired team from the Enter Team Name drop-down.
- Complete any configured fields, including name or badge number of the employee to be added to the team.
- Select Submit.
Submit a Leave Team Form for an Employee as a Manager or Lead
Managers and employees with appropriate permissions submit Leave Team forms on behalf of other employees to remove them from an Activity Team. Because employees can only be a member of one team at a time, the current team is pre-populated and not editable in Leave Team forms.
- Select View All Forms.
- Select a configured Manager or Supervisor Leave Team form.
- Complete any configured fields, including name or badge number of the employee to be removed from the team.
- Select Submit.
View and Edit an Employee's Team Membership as a Manager
Managers view an employee's current Activity Team and related details from the employee's time card. They can also edit the employee's membership from the time card.
- Select Team Membership.
- View current team membership details.
- If desired, add a new membership.
- Select Add Team Membership.
- Complete available fields.
- Select Apply.
- If desired, edit the existing membership.
- Select the vertical ellipsis (three dot) icon.
- Make edits to available fields.
- Select Apply.
- If desired, delete the existing membership.
- Select the vertical ellipsis (three dot) icon.
- Select Delete.
Start Team Activities as a Manager or Lead
Managers and employees with appropriate permissions use forms to start team activities.
- Select View All Forms.
- Select a configured Start Team Activity form.
- Complete any configured fields.
- Select Submit.
Stop Team Activities as a Manager or Lead
Managers and employees with appropriate permissions use forms to stop team activities.
- Select View All Forms.
- Select a configured Stop Team Activity form.
- Complete any configured fields.
- Select Submit.
View and Edit Team Activities as a Manager or Lead
Managers and employees with appropriate permissions view team activity details and manage team activity events from the Team Activity Events page.
Add an Activity from the Timecard
Assign an Activity to an employee from the Employee Timecards page.
- Select the arrow in the Manage Timecards Tile to open Employee Timecards.
- Select Show Activities.
- Scroll to the Activity column.
- Verify the employee name at the Assign To field. You can change the employee by selecting another from the Assigned To menu. Select BHI Time Off Request and select Apply.
- Select from the following:
- If available, select a paycode to Deduct From. Otherwise, the default paycode is used.
- Select Review to see options you have selected.
- (Optional) Select Add a Comment to add a comment and type a note.
- (Optional) Select Add if you want to include another period or paycode or duration in this time-off request.
