Modify Location Assignments for Work Units
Work Units
A Work Unit allows you to specify the unit to measure, and whether to roll up the units into a hierarchy. The integrations map the billing (volume) and payroll departments to Work Units, and then map the Work Units to the business structure locations.
You can modify the business structure location path assigned to the Work Unit either due to an incorrect mapping or a new business need. First, you must delete the expired productivity targets and unassign the Payroll and Billing departments. You can then edit the business structure location in the user interface or through integration.
Delete Expired Productivity Targets
First, ensure the productivity targets are expired to enable the edit of the location assigned to the Work Unit. You can also change the expiration date of unexpired productivity targets so you can delete them.
Payroll and Billing Departments Unassignment
Once you delete the expired targets, unassign Payroll and Billing Departments through integrations.
In the Installation Kit, unassign the Payroll and Billing Departments. The Billing and Payroll departments will be unassigned the next time the integration runs.
Edit Business Structure Location
Once you unassign the Payroll and Billing Departments through integrations, you can now edit the business structure location in the user interface.
