Forecasting: Labor Standards and Hours of Operation

Labor Standards, sometimes called Productivity Standards, help calculate how much labor is needed for the anticipated business volume. Labor Standards measure the amount of work needed per task for each job. An example of a labor standard is the amount of time it takes for baggers to bag groceries for one customer. Hours of operation identify times for which a site or department is open for business and when labor needs are required.
