Taking Restoration Options
Leave of absence policies typically grant employees an amount of leave within a certain timeframe. When an employee takes leave time, the amount of remaining leave time available to the employee is reduced. When the timeframe specified by the leave policy has passed, the employee leave balance is restored. Two typical methods for restoring leave balances include: restoring the full amount of leave time on the first day of the calendar year and restoring the full amount of leave time one year after the leave-taking.
