Time Management Glossary
The following table provides a list of the most common terms in Time Management.
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Batching | To prepare more than one timesheet at once. |
Employee ID | Employe identification number in Time Management. |
Compliance Update | The action of updating current software and policies to comply with standards and laws. |
Dashboard | A dashboard presents relevant information that you wish to track on a single page. This is set up by the user based on individual preferences. |
In Time | In Time for the record; must be paired with Out Time (for example, 09:30 am and 5:30 pm). |
Non-Contiguous Requests | Non-contiguous requests are requests that do not join along the same block of time or dates. |
Out Time | Out Time for the record; must be paired with In Time (for example, 09:30 am and 5:30 pm). |
Pay Group | This enables administrators to set up specific groups for pay allowing changes
for the whole group, not individually. Note The import process applies the
employee default value if the Pay Code field is blank. |
Payroll Administrator | This role is for any administrative user requiring Time Management access (AWS) under the Payroll Processing menu in UKG Pro. This role allows for basic administrative configuration in the UKG Pro security setup process while providing access to Time Management as an administrator. |
Payroll Bridge File | The payroll bridge file is a file that contains the employees’ timesheet hours for a given pay period. |
Payroll Gateway | UKG Pro’s Payroll Gateway provides you with a one-stop shop to manage all of your
payroll-related tasks. You can view pay dates, run payroll reports, perform payroll setup functions, and even run the payrolls for multiple pay groups at once. |
Punch Time | Punch time is In and Out times when a person clocks in (for example, 09:30 am and 5:30 pm). |
Reason Code | Reason codes are predetermined by the administrator. They provide a list of reasons a person may not be working, such as a doctor's visit or bereavement. |
UTMUSEREMPLOYEE | The UTMUSEREMPLOYEE security role is a system standard role that determines how
Time Management defines visible employees per user (by either adding the role to a
user's UKG Pro security profile or not).
Note This role should NEVER be used if the employee is set up with
administrator access in Time Management. This is for supervisors/managers and time
approver roles only. |
