Make Retro Adjustments to Timesheets

Retro adjustments enable managers to edit timesheets that have already been sent to payroll but only during a defined window of time.

Administrators can specify to allow retro adjustments when they are setting up pay groups for identifying transactions and processing payroll (Administration > Workforce Management Classic > Time Classic > Settings > Pay Groups > select pay group). The retro adjustment period can be specified for employees, managers, and payroll administrators. Administrators select the number of pay periods (monthly) to go back from the start day of the current pay period.

Navigation: Menu > My Team > Workforce Management Classic > Time Classic > Team Timesheets

  1. Apply timesheet filters, if necessary.
  2. Select an employee's timesheet from the list. If the days in the timesheet fall within the retro adjustment period that is defined in the associated pay group, you can edit the timesheet.
  3. Make any necessary changes.
  4. Select Save. The timesheet status changes to a Not Submitted state, and the timesheet displays an “R” beside the day to indicate a retro edit.

    Note:

When a change is made to an approved timesheet, the R displays in blue. The R displays in green if the timesheet is approved with changes. After the retro adjustment is processed, the R no longer appears.

  5. Select the View Retro Calculations button to view details of the retro transactions. The Latest Retro Calculations page displays the latest retro calculations since the last export.
