Questions and answers to some frequently asked questions about UKG Pro Candidate Texting in the Recruiting solution.
Candidates will have the opportunity to opt-in or unsubscribe from texting upon account registration or later in their Recruiting Communication Preferences. They can also unsubscribe via a text message by replying STOP, or re-subscribe by texting UNSTOP

Only Recruiters and Hiring Managers who have authorized, active 8xx phone numbers requested from the Recruiting solution can see the texting feature and text.
Text messaging is governed by anti-spam laws, particularly Canada's Anti-Spam law (CASL), which requires organizations to obtain a candidate's consent before sending a text message (opt-in consent). Taking CASL's requirement along with the desire to limit the collection of location data from candidates, the text communication functionality requires candidates' consent before sending a message.
We will continue to make sure we are bringing the most compliant solutions to our customers and maintain this feature as policies update. We have also integrated with Privacy Manager and respect the right to be forgotten.

No. Only 8xx numbers authorized for use by the carrier through the Recruiting solution can be used for texting.
For current Recruiting solution customers who have already activated Candidate Texting, the ability to cancel some or all of their Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs) will be available in the product by the time the feature is billable. While the TFNs and SMS are still available free of charge, current users can continue to use the feature. Customers will receive communication when pricing information is available, and we will provide an update when we release the ability to initiate cancellation within the product.
It is not necessary to cancel prior to our release of in-product cancellation functionality, as billing will not begin until further notice.
