Forward an Applicant's Details

Forward Applicant Details is a feature that is used to email basic information about a candidate to a recipient that does not have access to Recruiting.

The Recruiting Administrator creates a Forward Application Detail Email template, which includes the merge field, VIEW_APPLICATION_LINK. This merge tag inserts a URL into the body of the message that grants access to the candidate’s application and presence. When the recipient selects the URL in the email, the Application page launches in a new browser window.

The link is valid for seven days from the date when the email was sent. The expiration is a security restriction to prevent applicant information from being accessible for an indefinite amount of time. If the link expires and someone still needs access to the information, forward the applicant details again. You may want to include a message about when the link expires as part of your email template. 

If the applicant has submitted multiple applications for different opportunities, only the application to which the email was sent from is accessible. Applicant address and phone number information are not available from applicant detail emails.
